Febre Maculosa Brasileira: Folder Educativo para Prevenção

Abstract

Este folder educativo apresenta informações gerais sobre a Febre Maculosa Brasileira, uma doença transmitida por carrapatos e considerada um importante problema de saúde pública no Brasil. De forma simples e ilustrada, o material explica o que é a doença, como ocorre o ciclo de transmissão, as fases de desenvolvimento do carrapato, e onde a febre maculosa ocorre no país. O folder também traz dicas práticas de prevenção, orientações sobre sinais e sintomas, além de informações básicas sobre diagnóstico e tratamento, destacando a importância da procura rápida por atendimento médico. Desenvolvido para o público leigo, o material será utilizado em ações de extensão universitária do Laboratório de Hemoparasitos e Vetores da UFRRJ, coordenado pela Professora Maristela Peckle Peixoto, com o objetivo de promover conscientização, educação em saúde e prevenção. --------------------------------------------------------------- This educational folder provides general information about Brazilian Spotted Fever, a tick-borne disease and an important public health issue in Brazil. Using simple language and visual resources, the material explains what the disease is, how the transmission cycle occurs, the tick life stages, and where Brazilian Spotted Fever occurs in the country. The folder also includes practical prevention tips, guidance on signs and symptoms, and basic information about diagnosis and treatment, emphasizing the importance of seeking medical care as early as possible. Developed for the general public, this material will be used in university outreach activities of the Laboratory of Hemoparasites and Vectors at UFRRJ, coordinated by Professor Maristela Peckle Peixoto, aiming to promote health education, awareness, and disease prevention.
