In November 2022, DARIAH ERIC (Digital Research Infrastructure for Arts and Humanities) became a founding member of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA), a pan-European initiative to reform research assessment by prioritising qualitative, context-sensitive evaluation over narrow journal-based metrics. Since then, DARIAH has actively pursued initiatives that align with CoARA’s principles, including open peer review, the recognition of non-traditional research outputs, and the development of indicators and policies for assessing infrastructural contributions. This Progress Report and Action Plan (2025–2027) brings these strands together by both documenting achievements from 2022–2024 and setting out the priorities for 2025–2027.
