Abstract

Dataset Description Overview This dataset contains example image and data on analysed simulation outputs from the FOCCUS WP9 MS9.1 Applications prototype: ESC1-1.2.1 - Coastal erosion dynamics assessment of the Mediterranean Sea. The prototype application used SHYFEM-MPI integrated with the new sediment module to investigate the coastal erosion risk. Simulations were carried out in the Lazio coastal areas using a coupled unstructured-grid circulation, wave and sediment model. LC-MSCS Setup for Lazio Coastal Areas Underlying simulations were conducted using a coupled modeling approach integrating the hydrodynamic model SHYFEM-MPI , the wave model WW3, and the sediment transport module developed in the FOCCUS project. Data Structure The folder contains: NetCDF outputs - cmsfs.sco.nos.nc Plot of Suspended Sediment concentration - tiber.jpg
