Post-cataract surgery patients often experience nursing problemssuch as acute pain, impaired sensory perception of vision, lack of knowledge regarding postoperative care, anxiety, andrisk of infection due to invasive procedures. The authorprovided nursing care to Mrs. S in Mawar 2 Ward, dr. SoeseloGeneral Hospital, Tegal, from January 13 to 14, 2025, usingthe nursing process approach, including assessment, diagnosis, planning of interventions, implementation, andevaluation. The results of nursing care showed a decrease inpain intensity after the administration of analgesics andrelaxation techniques, increased patient understanding ofpostoperative care, reduced anxiety, and a controlledsurgical wound condition, although the risk of infection wasnot fully resolved due to time limitations. Overall, nursingcare was able to support the fulfillment of the patient’sbasic needs, accelerate recovery, and enhance patientinvolvement in self-care.Keywords: cataract, postoperative, acute pain, knowledgedeficit, infection risk, anxiety, nursing care
