
Data and code accompanying the publication "Landscape fire emissions from the 5th version of the Global Fire Emissions Database (GFED5)" published in Scientific Data. Updates for recent years as well as ancillary data can be retrieved (sftp) via https://www.globalfiredata.org. This repository contains the following files: GFED5.1_monthly.zip contains monthly burned area and trace gas emissions (1997-2022) GFED5.1_daily.zip contains daily trace gas emissions (1997-2022) GFED5.1_ecosystem.zip contains monthly burned area and carbon emissions, including a breakdown in categories (2002-2022) GFED5.1_code.zip contain Python scripts used to construct the netcdf files, figures, and tables in the publication above
