FACTSHEET - EU Soil Mission Living Labs and Lighthouses for Soil Health: Forestry Land Use

Abstract

The factsheet “Forestry Land Use” is part of a comprehensive set of factsheets developed under the SOILL project to inform and support applicants involved in the EU Mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’. It explores how Living Labs and Lighthouses can support soil health within managed and natural forest environments. These factsheets build on the groundwork laid by the NATI00NS project and provide clear, accessible guidance to help navigate the application process for Soil Health Living Labs and Lighthouses. The set includes five thematic factsheets focused on Land Use Types, Agricultural, Forestry, Industrial, (Semi-)Natural, and Urban, as well as three cross-cutting factsheets on Biogeographical Regions, Funding Opportunities, and Ecosystem Services. Together, they offer a practical overview of the Mission’s goals, implementation pathways, and eligibility considerations.
