Handreichung Ascheverwertung – Leitfaden für Betreiber von Biomasseheizwerken

Abstract

This guide offers comprehensive instructions to operators of biomass heating plants for the sustainable use of wood ash in Bavaria. It highlights the legal framework, quality assurance, and various recycling paths. The goal is to facilitate ash recycling in practice and contribute to the bioeconomy by closing natural cycles and reducing dependence on finite resources. The guide contains information on characterizing ash, relevant laws and regulations, quality assurance, recycling options in agriculture and forestry as well as in the construction industry and presents practical examples of successful ash management.
