This is an updated version of the worksheet originally created for the webinar Data Management Plans - A 'How-to', organized on 6.10. 2022 by Aalto University as part of a webinar series on Research Data Management and Open Science. The webinar recording is accessible on Youtube. The worksheet is based on the General Finnish DMP template accessible at: Tuuli-project. (2021). General Finnish DMP guidance. Zenodo. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.3629371. For projects funded by a specific research funding body, please follow the template and instructions of your funder. The information in this worksheet can be adapted to fit funder-specific DMPs. The aim of this worksheet is to help the user get started with their Data Management Plan by following a check list of some basic topics with links to additional resources. It is not exhaustive nor does it reflect the diversity of discipline-specific practices. The content is focused on Aalto University services and guidelines, users affiliated with other institutions are encouraged to seek alternatives and/or additional advice from their home institution's research data management support services. CRediT author statement: Lucie Hradecká: Writing - Original Draft, Writing - Review & Editing; Antti M. Rousi: Conceptualization (2. Ethical and Legal Compliance), Writing - Review & Editing. Enrico Glerean has contributed to the development of the worksheet as a reviewer and co-teacher of Aalto University's DMP workshops. We also acknowledge the valuable advice provided by Maria Rehbinder, legal expert at Aalto University, and IT experts Ilari Lähteenmäki, Jannika Rinnejärvi, and Dan Häggman.
