Abstract

Gli hijacked journals, letteralmente "riviste sequestrate", rappresentano una sottocategoria delle riviste predatorie, con le quali condividono una scarsa qualità nei processi di peer-review e lo sfruttamento delle prassi del mondo gold open access per arricchirsi a scapito dei giovani ricercatori. Rispetto alle riviste predatorie presentano caratteristiche specifiche come il riutilizzo di elementi quali titolo, logo, ISSN, comitato scientifico, ecc. ripresi da pubblicazioni realmente esistenti e tipicamente con domini cessati, con le quali cercano di confondersi. La piattaforma Riviste Unimi dell’Università degli Studi di Milano racconta come chiedere l'oscuramento delle pubblicazioni fraudolente nel caso in cui le proprie pubblicazioni rimangano vittime di questo fenomeno.
