WA Array and MT - Phase 1 and 2 updates

Abstract

The WA Array passive seismic program in Western Australia, as first publicised in AEGC Brisbane in 2023, has now been in place for nearly two years. During this time data collection for Phase 1, SW WA is complete and data collection for Phase 2, Esperance - Eastern Goldfields - Geraldton, started in March 2024. WA MT also started in March 2024 and is tracking with the passive seismic monitoring through Phase 2 in conjunction with WA Array. New collaborations with Geoscience Australia and AuScope are working towards maintaining AusArray in WA for the duration of WA Array to provide a long-term framework within which the WA Array passes through.

Keywords
