Abstract

Epipedonota interandina Vidal y Flores, 2001 (Fig. 1) Diagnosis. Largo 15-20 mm. Cuerpo de color negro, patas y antenas marrones o rojizas. Cabeza lisa; clÍpeo sin arrugas longitudinales. Pronoto glabro y estrecho; ángulos anteriores agudos y proyectados; margen lateral no realzado, en vista lateral con la parte anterior ubicada a menor nivel que el disco y la mitad posterior ubicada al mismo nivel; zona latero-anterior con depresión; ancho máximo en la mitad anterior; disco deprimido, con una depresión poco profunda en el centro, la cual no alcanza el borde posterior; arrugas longitudinales rectas en el área central y dirigidas oblicuamente en la zona postero-lateral, sin alcanzar el margen externo. Élitros glabros, con puntuación notoria y margen lateral recto; cada élitro con dos costillas ligeramente elevadas, gruesas, no ensanchadas y sin costillas secundarias; espacios entre costillas, entre la interna y sutura, y entre la externa y el margen elitral de similar ancho, sin surcos longitudinales ni puntuación; costilla interna sin surcos transversos, de la misma altura y de menor longitud que la externa; espacio intercostal más estrecho que el ancho de una costilla; espacio entre la costilla externa y margen lateral con surcos transversales desde la base hasta el cuarto apical. Distribución geográfica. Argentina: provincias de Salta y Jujuy. Chile: Región de Antofagasta, Provincia de El Loa (Quebrada Mucar, Laguna Helada, Lever, Toconao).
