This dataset contains the input files (including a last Checkpoint snapshot, so the simulation can be restarted), and basic simulation information (Rayleigh data products, time-averaged data products, and basic plots) for each of the 12 simulations discussed in the ApJ journal article, "Confinement of the Solar Tachocline by a Non-Axisymmetric Dynamo". Each simulation has a separate .zip file that can be downloaded either on its own or together with the rest of the simulation suite. The structure and contents of the resulting directory (after unzipping) is described in detail in the "README" .pdf document. Note that the magnetic cases have custom diagnostic outputs and the main_input file (as directly given here) must be run using Loren Matilsky's personal branch of the code: https://github.com/illorenzo7/Rayleigh/tree/meprodsubcurvnobinrz. Otherwise, the MHD cases can be run with the current main branch of the Rayleigh code (https://github.com/geodynamics/Rayleigh), as long as some small modifications to the main_input file (described in the "README" document) are made first.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
