Abstract

Suatu bahan restorasi dari resin akrilik harus mempunyai permukaan yang licin, halus dan kekasaran permukaan seminimal mungkin. Kekasaran permukaan yang tinggi menyebabkan tingginya penumpukan plak dan bakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kekasaran permukaan resin akrilik polimerisasi panas setelah pemolesan dengan bubuk pumice dalam waktu 30, 60, 90 dan 120 detik. Sampel resin akrilik polimerisasi panas ukuran 10 x 10 mm dengan ketebalan 2,5 mm sebanyak 10 buah untuk setiap kelompok. Tahap pembuatan sampel yaitu pembuatan mold, pengisian resin akrilik pada mold, proses curing dan penyelesaian sampel. Setiap 10 sampel dipoles dengan bubuk pumice yang dibasahi air, selama 30, 60, 90 dan 120 detik. Pengukuran kekasaran permukaan sampel dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah pemolesan menggunakan alat profilometer. Hasil analisis uji t-berpasangan diperoleh nilai kekasaran permukaan sebelum dan sesudah pemolesan terdapat perubahan kekasaran yang signifikan 0,000 (p<0,05). Hasil analisis uji one-way ANOVA diperoleh nilai selisih kekasaran permukaan pemolesan selama 30 detik 0,21 ± 0,05, 60 detik 0,35 ± 0,06, 90 detik 0,43 ± 0,06 dan 120 detik 0,67 ± 0,11 maka terdapat perubahan kekasaran yang signifikan 0,000 (p<0,05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah adanya perbedaan kekasaran permukaan resin akrilik polimerisasi panas setelah dipoles dengan bubuk pumice selama 30, 60, 90 dan 120 detik. 100600144
