Data Stewards in Thüringen - Konzeptpapier

Abstract

The TKFDM pilot project "Rent a Data Steward" enables research groups at Thuringian state universities and universities of applied sciences to request the support of a data steward for the implementation of RDM concepts in their group. Together with the researchers, the data stewards work for a limited period of time on the specific challenges faced by the research group in handling their research data and provide support in establishing appropriate workflows. The focus is on the practicability of the solutions developed to ensure a sustainable improvement in research data management. The concept paper published here sets out the exact framework conditions and the process of such a data steward collaboration.
