PENGARUH PERBEDAAN WAKTU PEMOLESAN TERHADAP KEKERASAN PERMUKAAN RESIN KOMPOSIT HYBRID

Abstract

Resin komposit merupakan bahan tambalan yang banyak di gunakan di masyarakat, memilki sifat fifsik dan mekanis. Kekerasan merupakan sifat penting bahan restorasi karena merupakan ketahanan bahan restorasi dalam menahan goresan dan tekanan, hal ini dipengaruhi oleh proses polimerisasi, pemolesan, termasuk jarak penyinaran, tebal bahan dan lama penyinaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan waktu pemolesan terhadap kekerasan permukaan resin komposit hybrid. Desain penelitian ini adalah ekperimental murni dengan metode posttest dengan kelompok control (the post test-control group design) Sampel penelitian ini adalah hasil cetakan tambalan resin komposit hybrid yang berbentuk cakram dengan diameter 6 mm dan dengan ketebalan 2 mm. dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok dan setiap kelompok dibagi menjadi 10 sampel ,yaitu segera, 24 jam dan 72 jam. Setelah dilakukan penundaan 24 jam dan 72 jam kemudian di sinar, kemudian dilakukan uji kekerasan dengan Vickers Hardness Test pada permukan atas menggunakan beban 100 gr dalam waktu 15 detik. Indentasi dibuat 3 titik dipermukan atas, kemudian dianalisis dengan uji ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penundaan 24 jam memilki kekerasan permukaan lebih tinggi dibandingkan segera dan 72 jam. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan tingkat kekerasan resin komposit hybrid berdasarkan waktu pemolesan langsung, 24 jam, dan 72 jam setelah penyinaran menggunakan fotoaktivasi LED dan nilai kekerasan tertinggi adalah pada waktu polimerisasi 24 jam setelah penyinaran.
