Características de la masticación y deglución en niños deficientes auditivos de 3, 4 y 5 años de una institución educativa del distrito de Surco

Abstract

This investigation has the purpose to describe the characteristics of chewing and deglutition in children who are there, four and five years old with hearing impaired characteristics. The study is focused in an educative institution in Surco district. The sample and population are conformed by forty children. This is a qualitative study with a simple descriptive design. The research Instrument applied for evaluation is the MBGR protocol designed by Dra. Irene Queiroz Marchesan and a team of phonoaudiologists from CEFAC, translated to Spanish by The Speech and Language Pathology Team from CEPAL. Results obtained shows that there is no exist a significant correlation between characteristics of chewing and deglutition and hearing impaired characteristics in the population evaluated. In contrast, there is evidence that proper characteristic of the population, considering their process of neuromuscular maturity like dentition stage and bad oral habits that explain and justify alterations and product of each evaluation.

La investigación tiene como finalidad describir las características de la masticación y deglución en niños deficientes auditivos de 3,4 y 5 años de edad de una institución educativa del distrito de Surco. La población y muestra está conformada por 40 niños. Es un estudio cualitativo con un diseño descriptivo simple. El instrumento utilizado para la evaluación es el Protocolo MBGR elaborado por la Dra. Irene Queiroz Marchesan y un equipo de fonoaudiólogos de CEFAC y traducido por el Equipo de Habla de CPAL. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que no existe una relación significativa entre las características de masticación y deglución; y la deficiencia auditiva que posee la población evaluada. Siendo sus propias e individuales características, según su proceso de madurez neuromuscular, etapa de dentición y malos hábitos orales; aquello que justifica y determina el tipo de alteración presente y el producto de cada evaluación.
