<jats:title>ABSTRACT</jats:title><jats:p>Ochratoxin A (OTA), a mycotoxin produced by<jats:named-content content-type="genus-species">Aspergillus</jats:named-content>and<jats:named-content content-type="genus-species">Penicillium</jats:named-content>species, is composed of a dihydroisocoumarin ring linked to phenylalanine, and its biosynthetic pathway has not yet been completely elucidated.
