Adaptation study of the escala de satisfação com o suporte social (ESSS) to people with cancer illness diagnosis

Abstract
O presente estudo teve como objectivo estudar a aplicabilidade da Escala de Satisfação com o Suporte Social (ESSS) de Ribeiro (1999) a uma amostra de pessoas com doença oncológica recentemente diagnosticada (menos de 3 meses), analisando as suas propriedades psicométricas. Pretendemos ainda conhecer as suas possíveis relações conceptuais com a adopção de estratégias de coping e a percepção de qualidade de vida.
