Abstract

Durante los últimos tiempos ha acontecido un aumento en el análisis y estudio del fenómeno y problemática de la Violencia de Género. Sin embargo, gran parte de estas investigaciones han dado prelación al abordaje de los abusos físicos sobre otras formas no tangibles de agresión. La Violencia Económica constituye una de las manifestacio-nes que menos protagonismo ha obtenido. En este sentido, en el presente artículo se aborda una de las victimizaciones más frecuentes que esta toma tras la ruptura de la pareja, a saber, la inasistencia alimentara o, si se prefiere, el impago de la manutención. Así, mediante una metodología cualitativa basada en entrevistas, se pretende recuperar el relato y las experiencias de las mujeres que, una vez separadas o divorciadas, no reciben dichas cuantías establecidas para el sostenimiento de los menores a cargo. El objetivo de la investigación se encuentra centrado en la aprehensión de las voces de las protagonistas, prestando especial interés en aspectos como la accesibilidad al sis-tema judicial y al proceso de reclamo de dichas prestaciones, las representaciones cul-turales en torno a la pensión alimenticia y las interpretaciones de las informantes sobre el incumplimiento de dicha obligación y sus repercusiones.
