L'épistémologie des vertus : Analyse des vertus épistémiques de Linda Zagzebski

Abstract

Cet article se veut une vulgarisation en milieu francophone des écrits en anglais sur l'épistémologie des vertus. L'approche de Linda Zagzebski parait pertinente par rapport aux autres tentatives de l'époque sur la thématique. On reconnait à Linda Zagzebski le mérite de découler de son analyse de la notion de la vertu la dimension motivationnelle. Deux grandes étapes sont considérées dans cette présentation de l'approche de Linda Zagzebski: il s'agit tout d'abord d'une analyse originale de la notion de vertu; ensuite la mise en exergue de la dimension de motivation pour la connaissance et la réussite fiables qui constituent le noyau des vertus intellectuelles.
