Cronoterapia de la hipertensión arterial en función de la alteración de los ciclos biológicos

Abstract

El presente trabajo es una revisión bibliográfica de la literatura científica de los últimos 15 años sobre la cronofarmacoterapia de la hipertensión arterial (HTA). El trabajo se inicia presentando algunos de los conceptos básicos para familiarizar al lector en el tema. En los resultados se resumen los tratamientos clásicos más utilizados en el paciente hipertenso y los estudios más recientes sobre la cronoterapia de la HTA dirigida a la optimización de la eficacia y seguridad del tratamiento individualizado en función de los patrones circadianos alterados de la presión arterial (PA). En la discusión y conclusión se establece una comparativa entre los tratamientos clásicos y la cronoterapia así como las ventajas y/o inconvenientes de incorporar alguna de estas nuevas cronoterapias en el tratamiento de la HTA.
