Abstract

Las fluctuaciones recientes de glaciares se pueden modelizar cerca de la Base Antártica Española (BAE), donde se exponen seis arcos de morrena, así como ocho terrazas marinas de hasta +18.6 m. Se pueden extraer algunas conclusiones sobre la reciente evolución de la isla gracias a los mapas geomorfológicos y los perfiles elaborados.

The recent fluctuations of the glaciers can be modellised near the Antarctic Spanish Base (BAE), where Six morainic arches are exposed, as well as eight marine terraces up to +18.6 m. Some conclusions about the recent evolution of the island can be drawn from the geomorphological maps and profiles elaborated
