Abstract

El análisis continuado de la calidad de los datos de los registros de tumores, permite comprobar el nivel de su funcionalildad y seguridad, y en el caso necesario obliga a modificar el sistema y adaptarlo a los cambios ocurridos el transcurso del tiempo. Se realiza un análisis del control de calidad de los datos en los registros de tumores hospitalarios existente en la Comunidad de Madrid a diciembre de 2000. Este análisis permite detectar algunas disfunciones que se plasman en un nuevo modelo de Garantía de Calidad. Se ha comprobado el correcto funcionamiento del mismo, antes de su generalización, mediante un plan piloto en un Hospital del sistema, demostrando sus resultados que el nuevo programa de garantía de calidad, mejora al previamente existente y permite detectar fallos que en el pasado habían pasado desapercibidos. Dentro del nuevo modelo de Garantía de Calidad se ha incluido el análisis de la validez de los datos mediante la recodificación de historias. Este método ha permitido detectar algunos fallos en la formación del personal codificador que han obligado a modificar el sistema de formación continuada de los mismos. El análisis de la calidad resultante del programa piloto, determina que el nuevo plan de garantía de calidad permite hacer un seguimiento exhaustivo de la calidad de los registros incluidos en el sistema, garantizando de esta forma unos niveles de fiabilidad en los datos recogidos compatibles, con la realidad que se muestra en la historia clínica, de donde proceden
