Espiritualidad y abstracción: cuatro mujeres artistas para el siglo XXI

Abstract

En este trabajo se analizará la relación entre las nuevas formas de espiritualidad del siglo XX y el arte abstracto a través de la obra de varias mujeres artistas pioneras, que encontraron en la abstracción pictórica una forma de expresión de su espiritualidad y creatividad, así como su legado pictórico para el siglo XXI. Concretamente nos centraremos en las figuras de Georgiana Houghton, Hilma af Klint, Emma Kunz y Agnes Martin, asociadas respectivamente a corrientes como el espiritismo, la antroposofía, la radiestesia y el taoísmo.
