Abstract

Este estudio pone de manifiesto la necesidad de combinar la ecdótica tradicional con nuevas técnicas de investigación centradas en el análisis de los materiales del texto, con el fin de obtener resultados efectivos en el proceso de reconstrucción de la historia del libro y de la transmisión textual de los clásicos. Tras repasar las propuestas de trabajo en este sentido y teniendo como punto de partida el decálogo de Pasquali y el posterior precepto de Cavallo, la autora presenta ejemplos concretos de testimonios en que distintos rasgos de organización textual (modelos, disposición, función, revisión e intervención textuales) pueden indicar modos, fases de su historia y de su propia escritura, llegando incluso en determinados casos a la restitución de lecturas correctas que no habían sido acogidas hasta el momento.
