The research work developed during this Doctoral Thesis has focused on the study of the application of laser radiation in different situations inthe orthodontic practice. The memory has been divided into two large blocks ; in the first one we study the use of Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) as a preventive antimicrobial measure during long-term orthodontic treatment, while the second one studies the use of Photobiomodulation (PBM) in the early stages of lingual orthodontics and as a complement of the complex orthodontic treatment of molar intrusion mediated by miniscrews.
