Abstract

La arqueología celtibérica cuenta con una larga tradición investigadora por la que han pasado algunos de los eruditos y arqueólogos más relevantes de la disciplina, se han excavado yacimientos arqueológicos cruciales para las narrativas históricas nacionales y se han publicado numerosas monografías, libros y artículos científicos. La Celtiberia era un área cultural amplia que cubrió el oriente de la Meseta norte durante las últimas centurias del primer milenio a.C. Sin embargo, la arqueología en esta región ha tenido un desarrollo desigual a lo largo y ancho de su territorio, dando más relevancia a áreas como el Alto Duero o las cabeceras de los ríos Tajo y Jalón, dejando otras en segundo plano, como el área segoviana del sur del Duero. Para comprender las diferentes tradiciones historiográficas, este trabajo profundiza en la historia de ambas tradiciones.
