Refranes del siglo XVI en el siglo XXI

Abstract

RESUMEN: En el siglo XVI se publican en España obras paremiográficas de gran valor para el estudio de las paremias, en particular las paremias de carácter popular como los refranes. Entre ellas, destacan el Refranero (1527-1544), de Francisco Espinosa, el Libro de los refranes (1949) de Pedro Vallés, los Refranes o proverbios en romance (1555) de Hernán Núñez, la Philosophia vulgar (1568) de Juan de Mal Lara. Pero no es la única vía para estudiar las paremias en el siglo XVI, pues hay escritores que las insertan en sus textos, como Juan de Valdés en su Diálogo de la lengua. Además, las paremias figuran en obras lexicográficas, en particular los tesauros o los diccionarios bilingües que tienen como lenguas el latín y el castellano. Asimismo, hay obras que se sitúan entre ambos grupos, al ser de índole paremiográfica y bilingües (latín-castellano). Este libro se centra en una de estas obras, una colección manuscrita anónima de paremias de carácter culto y popular fechada en el siglo XVI. El objetivo general de la investigación consiste en presentar una muestra de la sabiduría popular contenida en este tipo de obras paremiográficas poco estudiado hasta la fecha. A tal fin, se persigue cumplir varios objetivos específicos: aislar las paremias de carácter popular; localizar las concordancias paremiológicas entre dicha colección anónima y una selección de refraneros de los siglos XV, XVI y XVII, incluido el refranero literario del Quijote; comprobar el grado de vigencia de las paremias.
