Abstract

L’informe que aquí presentem reflexiona al voltant de la importància, la utilitat i les funcions de les biblioteques de centre dins de l’àmbit educatiu. Entenem la biblioteca de centre com un espai educatiu i dinàmic que ofereix material en tots els tipus de suport per a la recerca i l’aprenentatge dels infants. Aquesta investigació dóna resposta un aprenentatge servei a l’escola Serralavella d’Ullastrell per tal de treballar conjuntament amb els claustres de professors en la nova creació de la biblioteca de centre a partir d’una fonamentació teòrica i del recull de les necessitats dels mestres de l’escola. D’aquesta manera, a partir d’un treball col·laboratiu i sistemàtic amb la comissió de la biblioteca de l’escola es tindrà un recull de diversos recursos educatius referents a la creació i manteniment de la biblioteca de centre de l’escola, tot i que es podria aplicar a altres centres. A més, aquest recull inclourà un seguit de dinàmiques per començar a donar-li ús a la biblioteca de l’escola Serralavella. L’informe conclou, d’una banda, amb un decàleg que expressa les idees que considerem més importants a tenir en compte a l’hora de crear una biblioteca de centre, i d’altra banda, amb una sèrie de reflexions que expressen la necessitat que les escoles es plantegin l’ús i el funcionament de les seves biblioteques, per tal d’assegurar-se que són espais que possibiliten l’accés al coneixement i a la informació, i que conviden els alumnes al gust per la lectura, potenciant l’emoció i l’interès per conèixer i aprendre.

The report is about the importance, utility and function of school libraries in the educational field. We can define the school library as a dynamic and educational facility that provides material in diverse kind of formats to encourage researching and learning. The research is made to deal with a service learning in Serrallavella’s school of Ullastrell in order to help them with the new creation of the school library. We have been based on theoretical bases and the school teachers’ needs. For instance, from collaborative and systematic work with the School Library Commission we create some educational resources concerning the creation and maintenance of the Serralavella’s school library, even though it could be used for other schools. In addition, these resources includes a few group dynamics to start making use of the Serallavella’s school library. The report ends, on one hand, with a commandment that shows the most important ideas which we must take into consideration when we are creating a new school library. On the other hand, we discuss the need for schools to contemplate the utility and functions of their libraries in order to support the knowledge and information access and, most important, to motivate the pleasure of reading, and encourage student’s emotions and generate interest of learning.
