Abstract

Se cosechó la biomasa comestible mediante la poda de árboles de pisonay (Erythrina edulis) de 4, 8 y 12 meses de edad de rebrote, posteriormente se sometió al secado bajo sombra y molienda. En la harina de pisonay se determinó la composición nutricional. La digestibilidad aparente se realizó en la mezcla de harina de pisonay y maíz por el método directo en tres cuyes. Para la ganancia de peso vivo se elaboró 10 dietas, con la inclusión de 10, 20 y 30% de harina de pisonay por cada edad de rebrote y una dieta control, para la alimentación de 120 cuyes. En la composición nutricional y digestibilidad se aplicó intervalo de confianza. La ganancia de peso vivo diario se analizó mediante el diseño completamente aleatorizado en diez tratamientos con tres réplicas. La MS fue 92.0%, la PC y FDN decrecieron de 22.0 a 20.7% y 47.0 a 44.1%, los CNF tuvieron un rango de 20.5 a 24.6% y la ET: 4.25 a 4.30 Mcal/kg. El CDMS, CDPC y CDFDN disminuyeron de 50.1 a 45.8%, 62.1 a 46.2% y 25.0 a 20.0%, el CDCNF se incrementó de 70.0 a 72.4% y la ED disminuyó de 1.92 a 1.58 Mcal/kg. La ganancia de peso fue similar entre las dietas (11.66±1.87 g/animal/día). La retribución económica fue mayor con la dieta 12M30 (110.5%). La edad de rebrote ocasionó variaciones en la composición nutricional y digestibilidad y la inclusión de harina de pisonay de tres edades de rebrote no provocó variaciones en la ganancia de peso en cuyes.
