Abstract

En la presente investigación, se estudió el efecto del encalado en el crecimiento de la Valeriana pilosa R. & P en la localidad de Campo Alegre, Caserío de Huanico – Provincia y Región de Cajamarca. Se utilizó diferentes dosis de óxido de calcio en 4 tratamientos (T1, T2, T3 y T4) por cada parcela de 6 m2 en un área de 120 m2. El diseño utilizado fue de bloques completamente al azar, que consta de 4 tratamientos con sus 3 respectivas repeticiones, distribuidas en 15 parcelas al azar. En cada parcela de 6m2, se ha plantado 24 hijuelos de valeriana, las cuales en toda el área se ha requerido de 360 hijuelos. El mejor resultado al finalizar las evaluaciones de las variables morfológicas tales como: altura de la planta (7.13 cm), número de hojas (6 unidades), longitud de raíces (9.95 cm) y materia seca (10.35 g), lo obtuvo el tratamiento T4 (con 4 tha-1), es decir que el óxido de calcio agregado en las parcelas de cada tratamiento (suelo) ha influido en el crecimiento de las plantas por el incremento de pH (5.65 - nivel a moderadamente ácido) y nutrientes en el suelo como los cationes cambiables (Ca, Mg, P), y asimismo ha disminuido la acidez cambiable de 66.06 % a 6.32%.
