Territoires fabriqués, territoires instrumentalisés

Abstract

Dans un contexte économique globalisé mais aussi de décentralisation accentuée, les acteurs des territoires ont intégré une exigence, voire une injonction : leur territoire doit être identifié, lisible et référencé, afin de mieux négocier son positionnement dans la mondialisation. Pour certains territoires, le fort ancrage historique et identitaire dont ils disposent peut-être aisément instrumentalisé pour asseoir les stratégies d’aménagement et de développement économique. Pour d’autres territoires en revanche, la construction d’un référencement découle d’une démarche volontariste d’énonciation et de fabrication initiée et développée par les acteurs institutionnels. Cependant, le territoire doit-il absolument être énoncé, borné et référencé pour s’inscrire dans le marché des lieux ou ne faut-il pas plutôt faire l’éloge de l’imperceptibilité du territoire ?
