Naturalisme, anti-naturalisme : non-dits et raisons du réductionnisme

Naturalism and Anti-Naturalism : The Unspoken and the Reasons of Reductionism
Authors: Heinich, Nathalie;

Naturalisme, anti-naturalisme : non-dits et raisons du réductionnisme

Abstract

We will recall briefly what the consideration of the natural dimension of human experience brings, as well as the taking into account of its not exclusively natural dimension. Will be deduced the absurdity of a reductionist approach, whether naturalist (everything is nature) or anti-naturalist (everything is culture). We will show the affinities of both these reductionisms with an extreme form of thought, and we will explain the unspoken. We will show that they are supported by axiological reasons which are for the sociologist to explain. And we will conclude on the necessity to recognize the scientific nature and the specificity of social sciences without giving it up to wasteful antinomy of naturalism and anti-naturalism.
