TQ is a total system approach and an integral part of high level strategy. It works horizantally across functions and departments, involving all employees, top to bottom and extend backward and forwards to include the supply chain and the customer chain. The EFQM is abbreviation of Eurepean Foundation for Quality Management. EFQM is a tecnique of total quality to develop and implement succesful business strategies throughout the organization. The ISO 9001 series is a set of generic standards that provide quality management guidance and identify generic quality system elements necessary to archive quality assurance. ISO 9001 standards are independent of any spesific industry or economic sector. An individual company determines how to implement these standards to meet its spesific needs and the needs of its customers. On the appendix you will see an application on ISO 9001:2000. XIII
