Mujer, desarrollo y educación para el desarrollo

Abstract

The women participation in human development as a process and as a result, is a priority issue in the studies that serve as a base of policies to promote development all over the world. This can be seen in the work of the United Nations. In these researches education is important for everyone and most especially for women. This article first briefly studies the state of the issue of the major topic: women, development and development promotion. Secondly we analyse how this subject includes the Development Education (DE); It is an educational approach that is aimed at educating an active and responsible citizenship of human development and able to work locally with a global impact. We focus on a DE approach in the Spanish context and we conclude that one of the central themes that are worked in the DE in Spain is the women and human development, following the guidelines of the international trend.
