Competencia intercultural y lengua extranjera: propuesta de actuación

Abstract

La relación e interacción con identidades distintas ha sido clave para el desarrollo técnico, científico y social del ser humano, si bien hoy en día se teme aquello diferente o desconocido y no se promociona la diversidad, sino la homogeneidad. Los centros educativos, cada vez más heterogéneos, se presentan como los espacios idóneos donde educar a los futuros ciudadanos en la visión positiva de la diversidad. Por ello, se estudia qué es la diversidad, qué ha ocurrido con su gestión desde el siglo XX y cuál es su situación según la legislación española actual. Asimismo, y en relación a las conclusiones, se considera que el aprendizaje de la LE genera espacios de interacción. En este sentido, y debido a la necesidad de comunicación en el estudio de una L2, se genera un entorno positivo para la adquisición de la competencia intercultural. De acuerdo con estos resultados, se plantean diferentes metodologías activas a poner en práctica por los docentes con el objetivo de educar a sus estudiantes bajo un enfoque más inclusivo, abierto y tolerante. Además, se otorgan claves para la evaluación de la competencia intercultural, así como otras propias del aprendizaje de una lengua extranjera [LE]. Se concluye que es imprescindible aplicar las medidas planteadas por la investigación ya que alcanzar una educación plural e intercultural es uno de los retos de mayor importancia, según plasma la legislación educativa en sus objetivos generales.
