Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) is a eld theory for strong interactions, that describes hadrons as bound states of quarks and gluons. It has been very successful in predicting phenomena involving large momentum transfer. In this region the coupling constant is small and perturbation theory becomes a reliable tool. However, in regions that involve small momentum transfers, the coupling constant is large and perturbation theory is no longer applicable. Therefore, nonperturbative methods must be used to solve for hadronic structure. A promising way to approach the problem is to introduce the light front (LF) to eld theory.
