Allah'sız ahlak mümkün mü?: Çağdaş bir ahlak argümanı savunusu

Abstract

Tanrı’nın varlığı ile ilgili argümanlar, din felsefesinin en temel tartışma konularıdır*. Tanrı’nın varlığı lehinde geliştirilen argümanlar geleneksel olarak dört grupta toplanır:evrenin varlığı ya da başlangıcına odaklanan kozmolojik argümanlar, Tanrı kavramı üstüne soyut düşünmeye dayanan ontolojik argümanlar, evrenin ya da canlıların tasarımıya da onlardaki düzen örgülerine odaklanan teleolojik argümanlar ve değerlerin varlığı ya da algısına dayanan aksiyolojik** argümanlar. Aksiyolojik argümanlarla, estetik veya ahlaktan hareketle Tanrı’nın var olduğu gösterilmeye çalışılır. Dolayısıyla iki farklı türünden söz etmek mümkündür, estetik ve ahlak argümanları. Felsefe tarihinin çok uzun bir döneminde bu argümanlar içinde en az dikkat çekeni aksiyolojik argüman olmuştur. Argümanın tarihi Thomas Aquinas’a kadar götürülür.
