The article shows that there is no better catechesis of adults in the process of building a mature Church than adult participation in the life of the Church, which leads to the mystery of the liturgy - especially when we have in mind its full Christian dimension, in which it goes beyond mere worship and becomes a school of faith. Catechesis is a factor in the renewal of the Church. Catechesis as an echo of the Word of God can form a convincing picture of the Church. It only becomes alive when it conveys not only intellectual knowledge, but also intelligent faith. However, the Christian maturity of adults and the maturity of Christian communities is not as simple and obvious a matter as it may seem.

Artykuł ukazuje, że nie ma lepszej katechezy dorosłych w procesie budowania Kościoła dojrzałego niż uczestnictwo dorosłych w życiu Kościoła, które prowadzi do misterium liturgii – zwłaszcza gdy mamy na uwadze jej pełny wymiar chrześcijański, w którym przekracza się sam kult i staje się szkołą wiary. Katecheza może być czynnikiem odnowy Kościoła. Jako echo Słowa Bożego może tworzyć przekonujący obraz Kościoła. Katecheza dorosłych staje się dopiero wtedy żywa, gdy przekazuje nie tylko intelektualną wiedzę, lecz także inteligentną wiarę. Chrześcijańska dojrzałość dorosłych i dojrzałość wspólnot chrześcijańskich nie jest jednak sprawą aż tak prostą i oczywistą, jak się to może wydawać.
