In theological reflection, we strive to renew the unity between the basic dimensions of Christian life, which in history have separated from each other. It is noticed the return to the tradition of the Fathers and the ancient catechumenate as a model of every catechesis, pointing to a fruitful life synthesis between the celebration, listening to the word of God, confession of faith and Chris tian experience. Catechesis ceased to be identified with the catechism, where in the questions and answers one could also learn about the liturgy. It also deviates from the traditional liturgical and sacramental pastoral care, where baptisms, first communions, confirmations, weddings and funerals were not an expression of the authentic attitude of the Christian faith. Catechesis has returned to the basic goal of leading to the ability to interpret life in the light of the word of God and to celebrate in the faith that life that God according to his plan shapes in man. In this way, the mechanical and almost “magical” vision of the liturgy is overcome in order to become a full, conscious and active participation as well as a proper communication process. Hence the postulate to develop forms of catechetical action along the lines of an extended method of revision of life: to see, evaluate, act and celebrate. According to the famous principle: Lex Credendi, Lex Orandi – liturgy contains and expresses in an expressive and uniform form the entire Christian message and is considered an inexhaustible source of catechesis.

W refleksji teologicznej dąży się do odnowienia jedności między podstawowymi wymiarami życia chrześcijańskiego, które w historii oddzieliły się od siebie. Zauważa się powrót do tradycji Ojców i starożytnego katechumenatu jako modelu każdej katechezy, wskazując na owocną życiową syntezę między celebracją, słuchaniem słowa Bożego, wyznaniem wiary i doświadczeniem chrześcijańskim. Katecheza przestała być już utożsamiana z katechizmem, gdzie w pytaniach i odpowiedziach można było dowiedzieć się także o liturgii. Odchodzi się również od tradycyjnego duszpasterstwa liturgiczno-sakramentalnego, gdzie chrzty, pierwsze komunie, bierzmowania, śluby i pogrzeby nie były wyrazem autentycznej postawy wiary chrześcijańskiej. Katecheza powróciła do podstawowego celu, jakim jest prowadzenie do umiejętności interpretacji życia w świetle Słowa Bożego oraz celebrowania w wierze tegoż życia, które Bóg według swojego planu kształtuje w człowieku. W ten także sposób zostaje przezwyciężana mechaniczna i prawie „magiczna” wizja liturgii, aby stać się pełnym, świadomym i czynnym udziałem oraz właściwym procesem komunikacji. Stąd postulat, aby rozwijać formy działania katechetycznego, na wzór poszerzonej metody rewizji życia: widzieć, oceniać, działać i celebrować. Zgodnie ze słynną zasadą „lex credendi, lex orandi”, liturgia zawiera i wyraża w formie ekspresyjnej i jednolitej całe orędzie chrześcijańskie i jest uważana za niewyczerpane źródło katechezy.
