The Korzeniec stream valley, situated in the Pszczyna forest area, stands out with the various ve-getation types. 6 plant associations were stated, like: Sphagno squarrosi-Alnetum, Ribeso nigri-Alnetum, Calamagrostio villo-sae-Pinetum, Fraxino-Alnetum, Luzulo pilosae-Fagetum, Tilio cordatae-Carpinetum betuli and the Quercus robur-Carex brizoides. community. The fragment of the valley is taken under law protection as the "Babczyna Valley" nature reserve. The neigh-bourhood of the Upper Silesian conurbation causes that it becomes an interesting area for ecotourism, however its in-frastructure is not sufficient. That area should be popularized as environmentally and recreationally attractive.
