Latinoamericanismo y antiimperialismo en el fundador de Marcha

Abstract

Recientemente, diversos actores culturales de nuestro continente han dirigido su atención hacia un acontecimiento relevante, nos referimos al cercano bicentenario de la independencia latinoamericana. Siempre la celebración de un evento histórico, de enorme significación en este caso por su dimensión continental como es sin duda el bicentenario de la independencia latinoamericana, involucra insoslayablemente la reflexión respecto a los efectos del acontecimiento, al tiempo transcurrido, en definitiva a la vida de los hombres y pueblos que estuvieron involucrados en el evento. Pero también el acontecimiento se dirige a nuestro pasado reciente y al futuro inminente y en este aspecto el Dr. Carlos Quijano se pronunció de manera persistente vaticinando lo que denominaba desde las páginas de Marcha, la "segunda independencia", instancia de superación del acontecimiento fundacional. Es por ello que en estas líneas abordaremos uno de los variados aspectos considerados por Quijano en sus escritos, -su prédica latinoamericanista-, la que se construye en la reflexión sobre la dilatada aventura continental y que a su juicio, consolidará, esta vez más cercana e irreversible, la independencia definitiva.
