Abstract

El sistema nervioso es una vastísima red organizada para la recepción y transmisión de los estímulos periféricos a la conciencia (espíritu o yo) Considerado en su totalidad el sistema nervioso sería el puente de comunicación entre la propia persona o yo individual y el mundo exterior. 2°) El cerebro es el órgano de control de la vida psíquica de la atención y de la adaptación del individuo a las circunstancias en que se vive. Su función primordial es la memoria, es decir, hacer presente los acontecimientos pasados. No es el cerebro quien recuerda, sino alguien la persona. 39) El mundo psíquico es una compleja realidad dinámica, independiente de lo corporal, pero estrechamente ligada a él mediante el Sistema Nervioso Central y periférico. La vida consciente surge de la armonía funcional entre el ser personal o psíquis y los centros nerviosos córtico-cerebrales. • 5°) Vemos en el yo de cada individuo una realidad muy sutil de cuyas funciones normales o alteradas algo sabemos a través de lo que nos traduce el Sistema Nervioso, pero de cuya naturaleza íntima, nada sabemos en concreto.
