Abstract

A rapidez das mudanças que ocorrem no mundo em que vivemos e, por consequência, na escola enquanto instituição e espaço de constante desenvolvimento e aprendizagem, exigem dos profissionais flexibilidade, bem como a procura constante de respostas aos desafios, o que implica investir no crescimento pessoal e profissional. Desta forma, os docentes serão capazes de acompanhar as mudanças vertiginosas com que somos confrontados constantemente. Partindo desta premissa, este trabalho de projeto teve como grande finalidade, provocar a reflexão/ação sobre o conhecimento da profissão docente e respetivo desenvolvimento profissional num dado contexto e em colaboração. A partir de uma metodologia de investigação qualitativa (com efeitos na intervenção educativa), os objetivos investigativos permitiram-nos aprofundar o conhecimento profissional docente, problematizar várias teorias sobre desenvolvimento profissional, através da implementação de uma abordagem supervisiva horizontal – Encontros Colegiais -, o que permitiu conhecer as perceções e as práticas das docentes implicadas. Portanto, a opção pelo estudo de caso favoreceu o aprofundamento da realidade educativa investigada. De realçar que os resultados da investigação apontam para a urgência de concretizar mais momentos intencionais de partilha/reflexão, discussão de modos e práticas de desenvolvimento profissional, o que contribuirá, em nosso entender, para um processo de consciencialização da profissão docente, individual e coletiva e, em última análise, para a melhoria da qualidade do serviço educativo prestado. The swiftness of the changes that occur in the world in which we live and, consequently, in the school as an institution and place for constant development and learning, require flexibility from professionals, as well as the constant search for answers to challenges, which implies investing in personal and professional growth. In this way, teachers will be able to keep up with the head-spinning changes we are constantly confronted with. Based on this premise, this project had the main purpose of provoking reflection/action on the knowledge of the teaching profession and its professional development in a given context and in collaboration. From a qualitative research methodology (with effects on educational intervention), the research objectives allowed us to deepen the professional knowledge of teachers, problematize various theories about professional development, through the implementation of a horizontal supervisory approach – Encontros Colegiais. -, which allowed us to know the perceptions and practices of the teachers involved. Therefore, the choice for this case study favoured the deepening of the educational reality investigated. It should be noted that the results of the research point to the urgency of implementing more intentional moments of sharing/reflection, discussion of modes and practices of professional development, which will contribute, in our opinion, to a process of awareness of the teaching profession, individual and collective, and, ultimately, to the improvement of the quality of the educational service provided.
