Inundaciones en centroeuropa ¿Recarga mediterránea?

Abstract

[EN]This paper presents the first results of a study whose aim is to assess the potential recharge of Mediterranean origin in the heaviest events of torrential rainfall in central Europe, which have caused severe flooding. The area of work is between latitudes 41 and 52 N and longitudes 3 and 22 E, for the period 1980-2005.First, it has identified a typology of synoptic situations that cause these floods in order to identify if there are different patterns of recharge. Secondly, trajectories were calculated for the days prior to the event of precipitations. We have used the HYSPLIT model. Early results indicate that for all types defined, except for one, it recognizes a participation in the recharge of Mediterranean origin.
