Abstract

O livro que tem por título ATIVIDADE FÍSICA LAZER E SAÚDE - Perspetivas e Desafios de Investigação, congrega as comunicações apresentadas no XV Seminário Internacional de Educação Física, Lazer e Saúde (SIEFLAS), que decorreu sob a responsabilidade da Unidade de Investigação Sport, Health & Exercise Reseach Unit (SHERU) do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco. Trata-se de um Seminário anual que começou em 2003, tendo a sua 1a edição sido realizada pelo Departamento de Expressões Artísticas e Educação Física do Instituto de Estudos da Criança (IEC) da Universidade do Minho. A partir de 2008, passou a realizar-se alternadamente entre instituições de Ensino Superior de Portugal e do Brasil. Pretende-se que o seminário se constitua como um momento de reflexão, discussão, debate e divulgação de trabalhos científicos por parte de investigadores de diferentes países em torno das temáticas relacionadas com a Atividade Física, Lazer e Saúde, contribuindo para desenvolvimento de uma comunidade mais informada e atualizada.
