Abstract

Il libto testimonia di una ricerca collettiva sui paesaggi di bordo. Europa e Sudamerica sono i due estremi di questo impegnativo percorso architettonico in cui il rapporto tra terra e acqua è proposto quale materia prima dell'indagine. La prima parte della pubblicazione offre testimonianze ed approcci su ciò che rappresenta la costa, in Italia come in Argentina. L'origine di questa composizione collettiva, le sue sfide metodologiche ed il perché dell'ossessione progettuale su un territorio di frontiera delineano gli argomenti affrontati dai vari protagonisti. I bordi costieri, i porti e le città sono i temi delle riflessioni che compongono questa sezione. Successivamente si presenta un viaggio attraverso le opere che affrontano la problematica del bordo, con soluzioni progettuali che affondano le proprie radici nei campi dell'architettura, del paesaggio e dell'arte. Progettisti italiani ed argentini espongono diversi approcci alla tematica dell'architettura tra terra ed acqua. Per ultimo il libro dà spazio al workshop realizzato a Santa Fe nel 2010: una intensa esperienza di riflessione progettuale focalizzata su un punto della costa santafesina. Un centinaio di studenti di diverse facoltà di architettura hanno ripensato le relazioni che legano tra loro il porto di Santa Fe, il fiume e la sponda opposta di Alto Verde.
