Abstract

Nei contesti caratterizzati da partecipazione diffusa il livello della legittimazione è sempre di più legato all'esito della capacità degli istituti di creare utilità in modo socialmente responsabile e ciò, pur essendo posto tradizionalmente con particolare evidenza per l'impresa privata cosiddetta capitalistica, vale anche per gli altri modelli organizzativi della produzione, sia pubblici sia privati. Il governo socialmente responsabile degli agenti di produzione è agevolato se i loro risultati sono concepiti, misurati e rendicontati in modo coerente con i profili propri di un'economicità sostenibile, espressione di una virtuosa composizione delle finalità istituzionali, delle condizioni di vitalità economico-finanziarie e delle attese umanistico-ambientali. E' nell'ambito concettuale indicato che passeremo a ragionare sull'opportunità di introdurre - a integrazione dell'intuito e dell'esperienza dei decisori privati e pubblici - uno strumento formale di governo di tipo multidimensionale, il bilancio sociale, affrontandone anche gli aspetti connessi alla sua realizzazione.
