Abstract

Il saggio affronta in sede critica, convergendo un'area di interessi letterari e un'area di interessi filosofici,problematiche relative al rapporto sia di Michelstaedter che di Pirandello con un orizzonte ideologico, etico, epistemologico, delineabile nella cultura di primo Novecento. Attraverso modi diversi e con presupposti non analoghi un punto in comune fra i due autori può essere la critica del formalismo retorico insito nella visione del mondo e nel costume della borghesia contemporanea chiusa al mondo della vita e alla verità profonda dell'esistere.
