Dopo l’impulso iniziale fornitole da Max Scheler, l’antropologia filosofica novecentesca, nata sulla base di premesse kantiane, ha trovato sviluppo soprattutto nell’opera di Helmuth Plessner e di Arnold Gehlen, per conoscere una parziale eclissi a partire dalla fine degli anni sessanta, e ritrovare poi, nell’ultimo ventennio, un crescente e rinnovato interesse.
